What the orchard gets back, and how.
7 outcomes, each with the mechanism behind it and the module it lives in. Figures are from the estate the platform runs on.
Every gap, a replant.
The drone picture shows where a tree is missing. The app turns each gap into a replant job for the crew. More trees, more nuts, same land.
The tree-recognition pilot counts and places trees from the drone imagery. The orchard browser lists every open position; a selection becomes a replant work order with a printed field sheet, and only a closed replant writes back to the tree register.
Every drop, measured.
Probes in the soil, the weather forecast and the agronomist's rules set tonight's run for every block. The plan is recalculated every morning.
The agronomist publishes a season policy: allowable depletion, crop factor, trigger levels by soil type, interval between cycles. Every morning the policy, the forecast and the probe readings produce the week plan per block, in hours, millimetres or cubic metres.
Pumps follow the sun.
When the panels make more than the farm uses, the pumps run. The grid waits.
The inverter feed shows generation, consumption, battery and grid with a freshness stamp on every value. Smart-control rules such as "run pump D2 on sustained midday surplus" evaluate every cycle and log what they would do; switching follows once the rules are trusted.
Every spray, on record.
Product, dose, weather, operator and the waiting period, per block. The file your buyer asks for is already written and travels with the batch.
Each application is logged per block with product, target, dosage, water volume, operator, weather and the pre-harvest interval. Consignments match the factory receipt and print a dispatch note with a QR code that opens a public trace page.
Every task, planned.
The jobs that come back every year are laid out once. The app puts each one on the calendar and on the right person's phone.
Workstreams carry an owner, a rhythm and a season window. Saving a workstream regenerates its future tasks only; results already captured are never rewritten. The calendar shows crew load against capacity and flags days blocked by wind or rain.
Kernel you can prove.
Crackout per block and cultivar, compared with the factory pool. Stink-bug damage traced back to the scouting walk it came from.
Crackout results per cultivar and season are compared with the factory pool on total kernel recovery, sound kernel and unsound kernel. Late stink-bug damage links back to the scouting walks that preceded it.
Nothing to type in the field.
The clipboards became screens. The scale fills in the bag, the camera reads the logbook page, the supervisor marks only who is absent.
Harvest capture takes bags from the scale over the network. Fuel and logbook pages are photographed and the page reader proposes the rows. Attendance defaults to present and the supervisor marks exceptions. Approvals route themselves under the mandate.
See your own orchard in it.
A walkthrough takes 45 minutes: your blocks on the map, your season on the plan, your questions to Ask Compass.
